Steve Wanstall

Steve Wanstall 53 years old and married to Debbie Wanstall. They have lived at Gibbletore Cottage in the picturesque village of Wootton just off the A2 between Dover and Canterbury in the county of Kent, for over 13 years and in that time have established themselves in breeding and training high quality gundogs.

Steve grew up with dogs. He owned his own cocker bitch, trained it and started competing in field trials at the age of 30. Since then he has had an impressive list of winners with Cockers, Springers and Labradors.

He won the British Cocker Championships in 1998 with his dog, Field Trial Champion Birky Bog Bob and has made up five Field Trial Champions since then. As well as training other people to achieve the same sucess, with their own dogs!

Steve spent 15 years training sniffer dogs for the MOD, Police, and aviation security.

Steve is a very well respected A Panel Kennel Club judge, who is also involved on the Training of Young Handlers Programme. He has judged the British Cocker championships twice and also judged the Swedish Spaniel Championships last year.

Steve has represented England in the England Gundog team, seven times here and abroad.

He now focuses on training dogs and arranging training days throughout the year.
